Roberto G. Currás
Pintor andaluz, nacido en una familia de artistas en Sevilla, trabaja dentro del campo de las artes aplicadas y el arte contemporáneo desde 2004. Desde entonces, el artista ha generado diversos proyectos, personales y colectivos, así como participado en conferencias con las galerías de arte Carré D'artistes en Francia y Artillery en México.
Su primer poemario, titulado Intervalo, fue publicado en 2007 por la Editora de Gobierno del Estado de Veracruz, dirigida por el Dr. Félix Báez-Jorge, cuyo consejo editorial estaba integrado por el poeta José Luis Rivas y Sergio Pitol, Premio Cervantes 2007. Su trabajo creativo se ha exhibido en el ámbito internacional: Nueva York y Sedona, Arizona en Estados Unidos; Shanghai República Popular de China; Ciudad de México, Veracruz y Yucatán en México, entre otros lugares. Se ha desempeñado también en el campo de la enseñanza, como maestro de artes para jóvenes con capacidades distintas para la Fundación Hernández Palacios, en Xalapa, capital del Estado de Veracruz. Recientemente ha sido finalista del primer premio Almuzara de pintura, exponiendo su obra en la Fundación Antonio Gala.
Andalusian painter, born into a family of artists in Seville, works within the field of applied arts and contemporary art since 2004. Since then, the artist has generated various projects, personal and collective, as well as participated in conferences with the art galleries Carré D'artistes in France and Artillery in Mexico. His first collection of poems, entitled Intervalo, was published in 2007 by the Editora de Gobierno del Estado de Veracruz, directed by Dr. Félix Báez-Jorge, whose editorial board was made up of the poet José Luis Rivas and Sergio Pitol, Cervantes Prize 2007.
His creative work has been exhibited internationally: New York and Sedona, Arizona in USA; Shanghai, People's Republic of China; Mexico City, Veracruz and Yucatan in Mexico, among other places. He has also worked in the field of education, as a teacher of arts for young people with different capacities for the Hernández Palacios Foundation, in Xalapa, capital of the State of Veracruz. He has recently been a finalist for the first Almuzara prize for painting, exhibiting his work at the Antonio Gala Foundation.
